What it does
Açaí fruit extract concentrates the deep-purple anthocyanins (cyanidin-3-glucoside and -3-rutinoside) and related polyphenols of the açaí berry. In a formula they contribute antioxidant activity at the skin surface. It is typically used at modest in-bottle levels as a supporting plant antioxidant alongside more characterized ingredients like vitamin C derivatives or ferulic acid.
