What it does
Chondrus crispus, commonly called Irish moss, is a red seaweed whose extract contains carrageenan and related sulfated polysaccharides. In a formula it raises viscosity, forms a light water-holding film on the skin surface, and contributes a slippery, cushiony feel. It is a supportive texture / humectant ingredient rather than a targeted active.
