Coconut Alkanes
Coconut AlkanesBarrier
A light, plant-derived softener often used in place of silicones.
What it does
Coconut alkanes are saturated hydrocarbons made from coconut oil. They spread easily and leave a dry, silky finish, which is why formulas use them where a volatile silicone would otherwise go. Drop has read no study of it on skin; it is listed for the job it does in the formula.
