Dilinoleic Acid/Butanediol Copolymer
Dilinoleic Acid/Butanediol Copolymer
A polyester that leaves a soft, flexible film on skin.
What it does
It’s built from butanediol and dilinoleic acid, a doubled form of the linoleic acid in plant oils. It also keeps other film-formers flexible, so the layer doesn’t crack or flake.
The EU’s ingredient database lists it as a film former (leaves a film on skin) and a plasticizer (keeps other ingredients flexible).European Commission, CosIng (© European Union, CC BY 4.0) · uses put in plain words by Drop ↗
