Isopropyl Alcohol · Isopropanol
A volatile alcohol used as a solvent and to give a fast-drying feel; can be drying in high amounts.
What it does
Isopropyl Alcohol is a small, fast-evaporating alcohol. It dissolves oils and other ingredients, helps a product dry quickly, and reduces tackiness, so it is used as a solvent and processing aid. In high amounts it can be drying, but in most leave-on formulas it appears at low levels. It is a solvent rather than a skin active.
