Microcrystalline Cellulose
Microcrystalline Cellulose
A plant-cellulose powder used to thicken, stabilize, and give a smooth, soft-focus texture to formulas.
What it does
Microcrystalline cellulose is purified plant cellulose milled to a fine powder. It thickens and stabilizes formulas, can absorb a little excess oil, and lends a smooth, blurring feel. It is often combined with cellulose gum. It stays on the surface and is a texture ingredient, not an active.
