What it does
Microcrystalline wax is a petroleum-derived wax with very fine crystals, which makes it more flexible and better at binding oils than ordinary paraffin. It thickens and structures balms and sticks, holds oils together, and leaves a smooth occlusive film. It is a structuring and texture ingredient rather than an active.
