The evidence, graded
expert consensusUS safety reviewers (2020) assessed 60 PEG glycerides, most used to condition skin or help oil and water mix. PEG-6 caprylic/capric glycerides and PEG-7 glyceryl cocoate are named in their conclusion, and neither irritated or caused allergy undiluted in tests on people. They judged all 60 safe as used in products made not to irritate, dropping a 1999 cap of 10% in leave-on products. They can help other ingredients pass into skin, and makers should limit pesticide and heavy metal leftovers.Fiume 2020 · International Journal of Toxicology ↗
