PEG-7 Trimethylolpropane Coconut Ether

PEG-7 Trimethylolpropane Coconut Ether

A cleansing and mixing helper. Little research tests it on its own.

What it does

It joins a coconut fatty alcohol to water-loving chains (the “PEG-7”), so one end holds on to oil and the other to water. That lets it help rinse oil away and keep oil and water mixed in a formula.

The EU’s ingredient database lists it as an emulsifier (helps oil and water mix) and a cleanser (helps keep skin clean).European Commission, CosIng (© European Union, CC BY 4.0) · uses put in plain words by Drop ↗
