A naturally-occurring terpene used for a fresh, pine-like scent; a fragrance component.

What it does

Pinene is a terpene found in pine and many essential oils, with a fresh, resinous, pine-like scent. It is used as a fragrance component and is naturally present in many botanical oils. Like other fragrance compounds it can irritate or sensitize some skin. It is a scent ingredient rather than a skin active.
