What it does
Polyglyceryl-2 triisostearate and the related diisostearate are non-ionic emulsifiers made from glycerin and isostearic acid. They are oil-loving, so they help hold water droplets inside oil-rich products such as balms and cleansing oils and keep them stable. They are structural emulsifiers rather than skin actives.
