Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate

Polyglyceryl-3 Diisostearate

An oil-loving emulsifier used to build water-in-oil creams and to disperse pigments smoothly.

What it does

Polyglyceryl-3 diisostearate is a non-ionic, oil-loving emulsifier. It is well suited to water-in-oil formulas — richer creams and many sunscreens and makeup bases — where it keeps water droplets dispersed in an oil phase, and it helps wet and disperse pigments evenly. It is a structural and dispersing ingredient rather than a skin active.

This page is public and indexed on purpose (unlike profiles and drops, which are unlisted) — it’s the citation behind shared ingredient cards, and it should be findable.
