What it does
Rose extract is most often the distilled rose-petal water rather than a concentrated active extract. It contributes a small humectant effect and a recognizable scent. The 'rose for aging concerns' claims are generally not well-supported. Rose extract can be a fragrance allergen for some users — citronellol, geraniol, and eugenol from rose are on the EU's 26-fragrance-allergen list.
