Simethicone
Dimethicone mixed with a little silica; it stops foaming and leaves a smooth feel.
What it does
In a formula it breaks up air bubbles, so the product doesn’t foam when it’s mixed or pumped. Like dimethicone, it spreads into a light, slippery film on skin.
The EU’s ingredient database lists it as an emollient (gives skin a soft, smooth look) and an antifoaming agent (reduces foaming).European Commission, CosIng (© European Union, CC BY 4.0) · uses put in plain words by Drop ↗
