Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate

Sodium C14-16 Olefin Sulfonate

A foaming anionic surfactant that produces a generous lather in cleansers and washes.

What it does

Sodium C14–16 olefin sulfonate is an anionic surfactant that lifts away oil and dirt and produces a strong, stable foam. It is more cleansing-forward than amino-acid surfactants, so it is common in body washes and foaming cleansers. It is a cleansing surfactant rather than a skin active.
