Sodium Carbomer
Sodium Carbomer
A pre-neutralized acrylic gelling polymer that thickens water-based gels and serums.
What it does
Sodium carbomer is the sodium salt of a carbomer-type acrylic polymer, supplied already neutralized so it gels on contact with water without needing a separate pH adjuster. It thickens water-based gels and serums and helps suspend ingredients. It is a gelling-and-thickening ingredient rather than a skin active.
