Sorbitan Oleate
A sorbitol-and-fatty-acid emulsifier often paired with a co-emulsifier to build stable creams.
What it does
Sorbitan oleate is a non-ionic emulsifier made from sorbitol and oleic acid. It is oil-loving and usually teamed with a more water-loving partner emulsifier to produce a balanced, stable emulsion. It also helps disperse pigments. It is a common structural ingredient in creams and makeup and does not act on the skin itself.
