Soybean Oil

Glycine Soja (Soybean) Oil · Glycine Soja Oil · Glycine SojaBarrier

A lightweight plant oil rich in unsaturated fatty acids that softens skin and carries oil-soluble ingredients.

What it does

Soybean oil is pressed from soybeans and is high in linoleic and oleic fatty acids. In formulas it works as an emollient that softens and smooths the skin surface and as a carrier that dissolves and spreads oil-soluble ingredients. Its lighter, less greasy feel makes it a common base oil in lotions and cleansers. It is a conditioning base oil rather than an active.
