Talc

A soft mineral powder used to absorb oil, add slip, and give a smooth, matte feel.

What it does

Talc is a finely milled magnesium-silicate mineral. It absorbs surface oil, adds a soft, silky slip, fills and smooths the look of texture, and bulks out powder products. Cosmetic-grade talc is processed to be asbestos-free. It is a texture-and-feel ingredient rather than a skin active.

This page is public and indexed on purpose (unlike profiles and drops, which are unlisted) — it’s the citation behind shared ingredient cards, and it should be findable.
