Tetrahydrocurcumin
TetrahydrodiferuloylmethaneAntioxidant
A colorless relative of curcumin from turmeric. Little research tests what it does on skin.
What it does
It’s curcumin with hydrogen added, which takes away the yellow color that would stain a cream. The EU lists it as an antioxidant, which in a formula means slowing the reactions with air that spoil it.
The EU’s ingredient database lists it as an antioxidant (slows reactions with oxygen, like going rancid).European Commission, CosIng (© European Union, CC BY 4.0) · uses put in plain words by Drop ↗
