What it does
Tremella fuciformis (snow mushroom, silver-ear) yields a high-molecular-weight polysaccharide that behaves much like hyaluronic acid in a formula: it draws water in from the surroundings, holds it at the surface, and leaves a smooth, slightly slippery skin feel.
