Tridecane
Tridecane · C13-14 Isoparaffin · C9-12 AlkaneBarrier
A light hydrocarbon emollient that gives slip and spread, then leaves a dry finish.
What it does
Tridecane and related alkanes such as C13–14 isoparaffin and C9–12 alkane are light hydrocarbon emollients. They give a formula easy slip and spread and dry down to a light, non-greasy finish, often replacing volatile silicones. They are texture-and-feel ingredients rather than skin actives.
