Trisodium EDTA
Trisodium EDTA
A chelating agent that mops up stray metal ions so a formula stays stable, clear, and well-preserved.
What it does
Trisodium EDTA is a chelator — it binds trace metal ions that sneak in from water, raw materials, or packaging. Those metals would otherwise speed up spoilage, cause discoloration, and weaken preservatives, so removing them keeps the product stable and helps the preservative system work with less preservative. It is used at very low levels purely to protect the formula and does nothing on the skin itself.
This page is public and indexed on purpose (unlike profiles and drops, which are unlisted) — it’s the citation behind shared ingredient cards, and it should be findable.
