Resveratrol
ResveratrolAntioxidant
Polyphenolic antioxidant from grape skins. Pairs with vitamin C + vitamin E to extend antioxidant cycling.
What it does
Resveratrol scavenges free radicals through a different mechanism than ascorbic acid or vitamin E, which is why it shows up in stacked-antioxidant serums. It also has mild anti-inflammatory effects in cell culture. Real-world skin penetration is limited, so formulation (encapsulation, vehicle, percentage) matters more than the raw inclusion.
The evidence, graded
strongVitamin C, vitamin E, and ferulic acid show synergistic photoprotection. The combination is more stable and doubles photoprotection compared to vitamin C alone.Lin 2005 · Journal of Investigative Dermatology ↗

Pairs worth knowing
This page is public and indexed on purpose (unlike profiles and drops, which are unlisted) — it’s the citation behind shared ingredient cards, and it should be findable.
