Sea Buckthorn Oil
Hippophae Rhamnoides Fruit Oil · Hippophae Rhamnoides Seed OilBarrier
Carotenoid-rich oil. Visibly orange; small percentages contribute warmth and antioxidant tone.
What it does
Sea buckthorn oil is one of the few cosmetic oils with significant carotenoid content (palmitoleic acid, beta-carotene). The orange color is visible at low concentrations and can temporarily tint skin. Used in small percentages within a blend rather than neat. Antioxidant activity is real but the skin-feel and color are the limiting factors for usage rate.
