Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate
Ascorbyl Tetraisopalmitate · Tetrahexyldecyl AscorbateAntioxidant
Oil-soluble vitamin C derivative. Stable, well-absorbed, formulates cleanly in anhydrous serums.
What it does
Ascorbyl tetraisopalmitate is the most lipid-friendly vitamin C derivative — its four palmitic-acid tails make it oil-soluble and well-suited to anhydrous formulations. It's stable, doesn't sting, and converts to active ascorbic acid on the skin at a meaningful rate. Common in higher-end vitamin C serums marketed for sensitive skin or as a 'next-generation' vitamin C.
