sh-Oligopeptide-2

sh-Oligopeptide-2 · SH-Oligopeptide-2Active

Synthetic recombinant peptide analog of TGF-β; most common in premium K-beauty growth-factor serums paired with sh-Oligopeptide-1.

What it does

sh-Oligopeptide-2 is a recombinant synthetic peptide modeled on transforming growth factor beta (TGF-β). TGF-β signals in skin play roles in wound healing and collagen production. Like sh-Oligopeptide-1 (EGF), it appears most in premium Korean skincare products marketed around growth factors. As a large peptide, its ability to penetrate the stratum corneum to reach active cell populations is debated. Claims of clinical benefit are not yet supported by large independent clinical trials. Most published evidence comes from small or manufacturer-funded studies. Generally well-tolerated.
